At the invitation of the Moscow Government, GlavUpDK under the MFA of Russia took part in Africa Health ExCon 2023 recently held in Cairo (Arab Republic of Egypt).
Africa Health ExCon is held under the auspices of Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, the President of the Arab Republic of Egypt, and is one of the largest healthcare and medicine exhibitions in Africa and the Middle East.
The Medincentre branch is a co-exhibitor of the Moscow stand, which presents the leading Moscow-based medicine research institutions and companies.
On June 6, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi opened the exhibition. The President saw the stands of one of the pavilions and also spoke at a business event dedicated to the development of Egypt’s healthcare sector. At the invitation of the host country, members of the GlavUpDK delegation also took part in the event.
The official opening ceremony of the Moscow Government exposition took place on June 7. Evgeny Dridze, Deputy Head of the Department for External Economic and International Relations of Moscow, Alexey Tevanyan, Russian Trade Representative in the Arab Republic of Egypt, and other officials made welcoming remarks.
Medincentre members spoke at the presentation club organized by the Moscow Government, telling the guests about the healthcare opportunities for foreign citizens and the treatment benefits provided by clinics. Lyudmila Prozorova, Medincentre’s First Deputy Director, noted that the institution established in 1948 for the Moscow diplomatic and foreign community serves the needs of representatives of 30 embassies, citizens of 148 countries, and Russians.
In addition to the exhibition participation, as part of the Moscow Government business program, discussions and presentations of healthcare cooperation involving Russian and foreign healthcare and medicine experts as well as a round table “Healthcare Opportunities for Russian-Egyptian cooperation. Programs for Compatriots” are scheduled to be held.
To share best practices with foreign colleagues and explore current healthcare technologies and trends, Moscow delegation members will visit clinics specializing in innovative treatment.
Participants in the ExCon exhibition will get a wide range of opportunities for Moscow and Moscow-based companies, which are co-exhibitors of the stand, to establish international business contacts and promote Russian services, goods and technologies.
