Diagnosis of venous diseases at Medincentre

Accurate diagnosis is the foundation of successful treatment. Medincentre uses advanced methods, including:

1. Instrumental examinations.

  • Ultrasound of the veins of the lower extremities (USDS). The "gold standard" of diagnostics, allowing us to assess the condition of the veins, valves, and blood flow.
2. Laboratory tests. These allow us to identify blood clotting disorders (coagulogram) and rule out inflammatory processes. About diagnostics

Treatment methods

Treatment is selected individually and may include:

  • Drug therapy. Venotonics, drugs to strengthen the vascular wall and thin the blood.
  • Injection techniques. Sclerotherapy - "gluing" the affected veins together without incisions or anesthesia.
  • Laser coagulation. A modern minimally invasive method for treating varicose veins using a laser.
  • Compression therapy. Wearing special hosiery to improve blood flow and reduce swelling - recommendations for selection.
  • Surgical treatment. Miniphlebectomy and other gentle surgeries for advanced stages.

Equipment
Ultrasound
We use expert-grade equipment such as the Philips Affiniti 50 which exhibits high-end precision and versatility. Such equipment allows examinations in various modes: doppler ultrasound, elastography, 3D and 4D scanning.
Surgical Diode Laser
The innovative KLS Martin Diomax 1550 diode laser is the "gold standard" in the treatment of vascular pathologies. This German-made device ensures high efficiency and safety in endovascular laser coagulation. Its specialized 1550 nm wavelength precisely targets the vessel wall without damaging surrounding tissue.
Surgical Laser
We use the high-tech LAKHTA-MILON laser, great solution for minimally invasive phlebology. This device reliably seals affected veins with excellent cosmetic results without incisions, scars, or lengthy recovery.
F.A.Q.

How often should I visit a phlebologist?

In the absence of complaints and the presence of risk factors (heredity, sedentary work, excess weight), it is recommended to undergo a vein ultrasound once a year. If symptoms appear or varicose veins are already diagnosed, follow-up should be performed at the frequency prescribed by your doctor.

What diagnostic methods are used?

The primary and most accurate method is duplex ultrasound scanning of the veins. It allows us to visualize the vessel walls, valves, blood flow velocity, and the presence of blood clots. Additionally, blood tests (coagulogram) and functional tests may be ordered.
