Where does uterine fibroid come from?
It is impossible to identify the exact causes of fibroids. However it is known that mutations in the muscle cells of the uterine walls (myocytes) are related to hormones. Correctly identifying and eliminating external factors causing fibroid growth is extremely difficult as this benign tumor has its own genetic mechanism of development.
What is endometriosis?
Endometriosis is the most common gynaecological disease in which the lining of the uterine cavity, for various reasons, detaches prematurely before the menstrual cycle begins, causing bleeding. This condition can be found in almost one in every three women.
Can infertility be cured?
Yes, it can be cured. Modern medicine uses treatment protocols such as:
-
Pharmacological treatment (used to treat hormonal disorders and infections)
-
Surgical methods (laparoscopy and hysteroscopy allow removing of adhesions, polyps, and other obstacles to conception)
-
Insemination (a method where sperm is introduced directly into the uterine cavity)
-
IVF (in vitro fertilisation — one of the most effective methods for treating infertility)
