How to prepare correctly for your test?

Preparation requirements depend on the specific type of test. Detailed instructions can be obtained from your attending physician or on our laboratory's website. However, the following are general preparatory guidelines:

  • Fasting is required for certain tests

  • Abstain from alcohol consumption and smoking for several days prior to the test

  • Limit physical exertion immediately before the test

  • Inform your physician about any current medications you are taking

What is the expected turnaround time for test results?

Turnaround times vary significantly depending on the type of assay performed. For instance, results for routine tests such as complete blood count (CBC), urinalysis, and basic metabolic panel (or blood chemistry panel) are typically available within 1-2 business days. However, more complex diagnostic procedures, including PCR testing, histopathological examination, and cytological analysis, may require between 3 to 10 business days for processing and reporting.

Where can laboratory testing be performed at the Medincentre?

Laboratory services are available at our Swiss-certified laboratory facility located at 4th Dobryninsky per., 4. The laboratory is situated on the third floor.

What diagnostic tests are recommended for preventive screening?

For routine preventive care, it is recommended to undergo a complete blood count (CBC) and urinalysis at least annually.
